Hello and welcome to the Insight Into Action blog!  I just finished reading Platform: Get Noticed In A Noisy World by Michael Hyatt.  This York Times Bestseller gives a step-by-step guide of how to communicate with a larger audience.  This nudged us to put our insights about Platform into action by developing this blog.  Our practice wants to share information about mental health and substance use disorders and how they affect those in our community.  Each of our therapists will write about topics on which they have expertise.

Our goal is to post at least once a month about relevant topics.  We welcome your feedback and invite you to request topics that you would like to learn more about.

During therapy sessions, we are behind a closed door, working one on one with individuals who are struggling with life.  During sessions we discuss topics that we all deal many with.  Even though we are all plugged into our devices, a lot of us feel disconnected.   We hope that this blog is a way to help us connect about issues that are going on in our community, helping us all feel a little less isolated.

We recognize the double-edged sword of technology.  Our smart phones, tablets, and computers have all these amazing social networking sites and ways to bring us together.  At Insight Into Action Therapy, we want to use this technology to help you live a more balanced life.Albert

You can check your devices. But then put them down and interact with some live humans.

Go hug someone you love. Give a compliment to a stranger. And talk to a friend you have not seen in awhile!

We look forward to connecting with you and hope it may turn into a face to face meeting.  Please share this with any friends that would like to be part of the conversation.
